The trial of a former Minneapolis police officer charged with criminal vehicular homicide and second-degree murder has been postponed.
Brian Cummings’ trial was scheduled to begin September 19, but at a hearing earlier this week (MONDAY) the trial was moved to next May.
According to charges, Cummings was conducting a high-speed chase in July of 2021 when he struck the vehicle of 40-year-old Leneal Frazier, killing him. Frazier left behind six children. Frazier was the uncle of Darnella Frazier, the woman who recorded the viral video of the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
